Atlanta United def. Portland Timbers in MLS Cup Final 2018.

The 2018 MLS Cup on Saturday night just happened, Atlanta United beat the Portland Timbers and became the MLS Cup 2018 champions just of their second season, first played in 2017.

MLS Most Valuable Player Josef Martinez opened the scoring on 39 minutes with his 35th goal of the season and Franco Escobar added a second after the break.

The New York Red Bulls won the Supporters' Shield 2018 while setting a league record by earning 71 points on the season (eclipsing Toronto's mark of 69 set last season).
