Week 18 Saturday NFL game predictions, Jan. 3

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:30 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)

The Panthers beat the Buccaneers on Dec. 21, 23-20. The Buccaneers have lost four games in a row. The winner of this game likely wins the NFC South and the final NFC playoff berth. We don't have much confidence in either team's ability to win a postseason game, but we'll take the home team to get there.

Prediction: Buccaneers 23, Panthers 21

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers, 8 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)

These teams met in Week 1 of the season in Seattle, with San Francisco getting a 17-13 win. They fittingly get to meet in the final week of the season. We expect a similar score, with a close 49ers win over the Seahawks.

Prediction: 49ers 20, Seahawks 17

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons, 1 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)

The Saints have won four straight games with Tyler Shough at quarterback. Can they end the season with a fifth straight win? Yes, they can. New Orleans will have a lot of momentum for 2026.

Prediction: Saints 24, Falcons 20

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)

The Bengals will look back on this year with disappointment. But, they are going to end it with three straight wins.

Prediction: Bengals 24, Browns 16

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans, 1 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)

Houston has won eight straight games. Indianapolis has lost six straight. Those streaks will continue in NFL Week 18 as the Texans' defense stifles the Colts.

Prediction: Vikings 23, Packers 20

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants, 1 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)

The Giants offense won't be able to keep up with the Cowboys in this game in a matchup of NFC East teams that had very disappointing seasons.

Prediction: Cowboys 28, Giants 17

NFL playoff picture Week 18: Panthers vs Buccaneers, Ravens vs Steelers for last spots

Sunday late NFL game predictions, Jan. 4

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills, 4:25 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)

The Bills' 4-game win streak ended with the loss to the Eagles, but they will defeat the Jets in a tune-up for the NFL playoffs.

Prediction: Bills 24, Jets 13

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears, 4:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)

The Lions really don't have anything to play for after being eliminated from the NFL playoffs. It will show as the Bears enter the postseason on a high note.

Prediction: Bears 30, Lions 20

Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos, 4:25 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)

The Broncos will be the top seed in the AFC playoffs with a win over the Chargers. Denver is 7-1 at home this season, and will improve to 8-1 here.

Prediction: Broncos 23, Chargers 20

NFL Week 18 odds: Point spreads, moneylines, over/unders for betting

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)

The Cardinals have lost eight games in a row. We have no faith in the team's ability to end that skid, even if Los Angeles rests some starters.

Prediction: Rams 27, Cardinals 19

Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders, 4:25 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)

The Raiders have lost 10 straight games and are in line to have the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. It will be 11 straight after this game.

Will the Eagles rest some of their key players against the Commanders? It might not matter if they do.

Sunday Night Football prediction, Jan. 4

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers, 8:20 p.m., NBC (stream with FUBO)

The winner of this game takes home the AFC North title and the NFL playoff berth that comes with it. The loser wonders what could have been. We can't go with Pittsburgh after that clunker against Cleveland.

Prediction: Ravens 27, Steelers 20
