Postecoglou’s Tops the shortest manager reign in Premier League history

Who are the shortest serving managers in Premier League history, Ange Postecoglou’s Tops the List.

Ange Postecoglou’s time at Nottingham Forest will go down as one of the shortest managerial reigns in Premier League history. The Australian manager was sacked just 39 days after taking charge, making him the shortest-serving permanent boss in the league’s history.

Appointed on 9 September, Postecoglou barely had time to settle in before his tenure ended following a 3–0 defeat to Chelsea. Forest acted swiftly — just 17 minutes after the final whistle — ending a spell that produced no wins in eight matches.

Hired to bring attacking football and ambition back to the City Ground, Postecoglou instead leaves behind a team struggling for direction and confidence, as the club searches for its third manager of the season only two months into the campaign.
