College Football QB Power Rankings: Week 6.
Few quarterbacks have clearly separated themselves as college football's elite, and the shifting landscape continues to shake up the leaderboard. There's a new No. 1 in this week's quarterback power rankings, as former Division II transfer-turned-Ole Miss star Trinidad Chambliss climbs into the top spot. He's one of three SEC quarterbacks in the top five entering Week 6.
Still, the Big Ten leads all Power Four conferences with 11 quarterbacks in the top 50, followed closely by the Big 12 and its QB Club. Oregon’s Dante Moore is making a rapid rise after carving up Penn State in one of the season’s toughest environments, while Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza continues to put up flawless efficiency numbers as the Hoosiers chase another playoff berth.
Rising to the Top
1. Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss
The Division II transfer has fully taken charge of the Rebels’ offense, dazzling with both arm and legs. His 314 yards passing and 71 rushing against LSU cement him as this week’s new No. 1.
2. Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt
Six total touchdowns last week pushed him to the top tier of the SEC. His 74.6% completion rate and 184.62 passer rating put him among the national leaders.
3. Haynes King, Georgia Tech
A gritty dual-threat who just broke the school record with his 13th game posting both a rushing and passing touchdown.
4. Fernando Mendoza, Indiana
Drops from No. 1 but remains elite. Still boasts the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in the FBS.
5. Ty Simpson, Alabama
Mistake-free and efficient, he’s climbing into Heisman chatter after keeping Bama perfect.
6. Dante Moore, Oregon
Shocked Penn State in a “White Out” game with three touchdowns. Now sits as the betting favorite for the Heisman.
New Faces in the Spotlight
7. CJ Carr, Notre Dame
Jumped from 29 to 7 after lighting up weak defenses with 577 yards and six TDs in two weeks.
8. Sawyer Robertson, Baylor
Torched Oklahoma State for nearly 400 yards, now leads the FBS in passing touchdowns (17) and yards per game (342.6).
9. Josh Hoover, TCU
Tumbles after a flat outing in a blown lead to Arizona State.
10. Jayden Maiava, USC
A tough loss at Illinois, but still produced 364 yards and two late touchdowns.
