Parsons vs. Hutchinson: Rival Pass Rushers Meet Again in NFC North.
Parsons set for Packers debut, Hutchinson returns for Lions in Week 1 clash
Micah Parsons hasn’t played a snap for the Green Bay Packers yet, but the two-time All-Pro edge rusher already knows how he feels about the Detroit Lions.
“I never liked Detroit,” Parsons said. “Even back in Dallas, it was always a heavyweight fight against them. They caught us last year when I was out, but I’m excited to finally face them. It’s going to go the distance.”
Parsons could make his Packers debut Sunday, just days after being traded from the Cowboys. His status is still uncertain, though, as he’s been limited in practice with a back injury.
Across the field, Detroit star Aidan Hutchinson will return after breaking his left leg in two places last October during the Lions’ 47-9 rout of Dallas.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Hutchinson said.
The two pass rushers, once Big Ten rivals at Michigan and Penn State, now square off in the NFC North as both teams chase Super Bowl hopes.
