College Football Rankings: See the Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 for Week 5

Latest 2025 College football rankings: SEC teams in updated Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 after Week 5.

For the second time in a matter of weeks, one of the ACC's top teams sustained an upset.

No. 8 Florida State opened up the weekend on Friday, Sept. 26 with a 46-38 double overtime loss to unranked Virginia on the road, as Seminoles quarterback Tommy Castellanos was picked off in the end zone by defensive back Ja'Son Prevard. The Seminoles have now lost each of their past six conference games.

Speaking of upsets, Syracuse fell to Duke 38-3 at home at JMA Wireless Dome one week after Fran Brown's squad picked up a signature road win against the ACC's biggest powerhouse, Clemson.

No. 17 Georgia Tech staved off an upset to Wake Forest, as Yellow Jackets defensive back Clayton Powell-Lee intercepted Wake Forest quarterback Robby Ashford on a 2-point attempt to seal the come-from-behind win. The Yellow Jackets outscored the Demon Deacons 14-3 in the third quarter to get back into the game after trailing 17-3 at halftime.
