Last year's theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," and Penelope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, and Dua Lipa served as co-hosts. Here's everything you should know about this year's gala.

Is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attending the Met Gala 2024?

It appears there will be a "Blank Space" in Taylor Swift's place this year at the Met Gala. People confirmed on April 29 the pop superstar would be skipping the event in preparation of the resumption of her Eras Tour. She will kick off the European leg of the tour at Paris’s La Défense Arena on May 9.

Earlier this month, it was still up in the air whether Swift and Travis Kelce would make their couple debut at the Met Gala.

“Taylor and Travis are not going to the Met Gala. They passed,” an insider reportedly told Us Weekly in an April 19 story. “They might go as it gets closer, but for now, they are not going.”

The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker hasn’t attended the gala since 2016, but there was speculation that that could change this year as she has appeared more comfortable in the public eye since she started dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Now, it looks like we'll have to wait and see next year.
