The Super Bowl is now in the rear-view mirror, which means it’s time to turn our attention to auto racing and one of the world’s most iconic tracks – Daytona International Speedway – where NASCAR will gear up this week for its most famous race with Daytona Speedweeks.


It's almost race week for the NASCAR Cup Series, and it's a big one.

The Daytona 500 is set for its 67th running to begin the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Chase Elliott won Sunday's Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium to claim the first of two exhibition events this season, the other being the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 18.

The 67th running of the Daytona 500 is set for 1:30 p.m. CT (2:30 p.m. ET) on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida.

Who won the 2024 Daytona 500?


William Byron won the 2024 Daytona 500 for Hendrick Motorsports, his first victory in the "Great American Race." Last year's event was run on Monday, Feb. 19 after the race was delayed due to weather.


Who was the 2024 NASCAR champion?


Joey Logano won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship, his third with the other two coming in 2018 and 2022. Logano held off Team Penske teammate, Ryan Blaney, in the closing laps of the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway to claim the title.
