The most Exciting racing event in NASCAR finally approached just around the corner. The Daytona 500 is here to officially kick off the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season and the Next Gen era.



It's officially Daytona 500 Speed-week, with the NASCAR haulers arriving Monday afternoon ahead of the scheduled. parade lap over to the Turn 1 entrance into Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 15.

That's where the 42 Cup haulers will remain (most of them, at least) for the next Five days, through Sunday's 68th Daytona 500.

Sandwiched in between will be non-stop racing action, beginning Tuesday night with a pair of Cup practices in the new Next Gen car.

2026 Daytona 500: Qualifying format, TV times.



Qualifying for the Daytona 500 is unlike any other points race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule.


Single-car qualifying on Feb. 11 (8:15 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) will now have two rounds, with the top 10 speeds in Round 1 moving on to second round.

The fastest two cars in Round 2 will lock in as the front-row starters for Sunday’s Great American Race.


What TV channel is the Daytona 500 on?


The 2026 Daytona 500 will be televised nationally on Fox. Race coverage starts at 11:30 p.m. Eastern. MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio offer broadcasts and the race will be streamed on the Fox Sports app.
