The list of Ryder Cup captains goes back to 1927, when the biennial tournament began. Every other year, the best male, professional golfers from Europe and the United States face off in this match play tournament, each team led by its captain. 

The European Tour selects the captain for Team Europe, the PGA of America chooses Team USA's captain. Each captain then is able to pick his own assistants, as well as several members of the team (the majority of Ryder Cup players are automatic selections via points lists).

 The most-recent Ryder Cup captains Keegan Bradley is the captain for Team USA, while Luke Donald will lead Team Europe in the 2025 Ryder Cup in Farmingdale, New York.


In the 96-year history of the tournament, Walter Hagen was the man who has been captain the most times having led Team U.S.A. in six different editions

Who are the Ryder Cup Captains 2025 for Team USA and Team Europe.?



Team USA

Captain: Keegan Bradley. At 38 years old, Bradley is the youngest American Ryder Cup captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963. He has served as captain for both the U.S. Presidents Cup team in 2017 and the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2023.

Team Selection: Bradley has already selected his six captain's picks to complete his 12-man squad. 

Team Europe

Captain: Luke Donald. A successful captain in the last contest, Donald is the first European to repeat his captaincy since Bernard Gallacher in 1993.

Team Selection: On September 1, 2025, Donald announced his six captain's picks, finalizing Europe's 12-man roster.
