Berlin Marathon 2023 Prize Money: How much winner Eliud Kipchoge & Tigist Assefa will earns from overall purse.

For both men and women who won the race, each will pocket $50,000 prize money. The amount is expected to be more for one who shatters the world record.

The 2023 Berlin Marathon is the 49th edition of the annual marathon race in Berlin, scheduled to be held on Sunday, 24 September 2023.

A Platinum Label marathon, it is the fourth of six World Marathon Majors events scheduled for 2023.

More than 45,000 runners from around 150 countries are expected to take part in the event.

Ethiopian runner Tigist Assefa set a new marathon world record for women, won the Berlin race with a time of 2:11:53, and beating the previous world record of 2:14:04, set by Kenyan runner Brigid Kosgei at the 2019 Chicago Marathon, by over two minutes.

Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge achieved a record fifth Berlin Marathon victory, winning the men's race with a time of 2:02:42.

Berlin Marathon 2023 Results: Swiss wheelchair athletes Marcel Hug and Catherine Debrunner won their races with finish times of 1:23:07 and 1:34:16, respectively.
