The 2025 PGA TOUR Season Calendar marks the 19th edition of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

How many golfers will qualify for each event of FedEx Cup Playoffs?


Players on the PGA Tour earn points that make up the FedEx Cup standings. The top 70 in the standings qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs.

The field shrinks to 50 after the first playoff event, and to 30 after the second. The remaining 30 players compete for the FedEx Cup at the third and final playoff event where the FedEx Cup Champion will be determined.

The Tour Championship will be played as a 72-hole stroke-play event, with all players starting the tournament at even par, just like most Tour events. This is a shift away from the "starting strokes" format (in which the top golfer in the standings started at 10 under, the second-place golfer at 8 under and so on), which was used from 2019-2024.

Who won the defending champion of FedEx Cup 202 Winner.?



Scottie Scheffler won last year's FedEx Cup after coasting to a four-stroke victory at the 2024 Tour Championship. The win sealed Scheffler's first career FedEx Cup title. Scheffler won seven PGA Tour events in 2024, the most since Tiger Woods in 2007.


Viktor Hovland won last year's FedEx Cup after shooting 27-under at the 2023 Tour Championship. The victory marked Hovland's first FedEx Cup title.

Yes. And then any points earned in the first two FedEx Cup playoff events are added to a players' regular-season points to get their new place on the FedEx Cup points list each week.



How are the points earned different in the playoffs compared to the regular season?


A premium is given to players who win/play well in playoff events. If you won a regular-season PGA Tour stop, you earned 500 points. For a playoff win, you get 2,000 points. Similarly, all players earn four times the points for their performances in playoff events compared with regular-season tournaments.

2025 FedEx Cup Prize money, Purse payout, winner's share for All 30 Players ..




Starting in 2019, the FedEx Cup winner earned $10-15 million prize money payout from an overall prize fund of $60 million Purse.

The total bonus pool for the FedEx Cup playoffs is $100 million, with the champion earning $10 million.

The St. Jude and the BMW each have a total purse of $20 million, with the winner getting $3.6 million.

Those two events are prize money payouts, while the Tour Championship is considered "bonus" money and doesn't count toward a golfer's official money on the PGA Tour's all-time money list.

This year, the overall payout is $100 million bonus pool and the winner will take home a whopping $10 million prize money payout.

What happens to PGA Tour golfers outside the top 70 Golf rankings?



Those who finish Nos. 71-100 in the standings will have full PGA Tour status for 2026, while players Nos. 101-125 will retain conditional status, although the top 100 and top 125 will not be finalized until after the FedExCup Fall and The RSM Classic in November.
