As the second half of the 2023 season gets underway, Major League Baseball announced its full schedule for 2024, highlighted by a March 28 Opening Day, four international series and the All-Star Game at Globe Life Field in Texas.



A traditional Opening Day set for March 28 matches 2019 as the earliest in baseball history but the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres will have each played two games by then, starting the season in Seoul, the first regular-season games to ever be played in South Korea.

The 2024 Opening Day features high-profile New York Yankees-Houston Astros and Dodgers-St. Louis Cardinals matchups.


When does the 2024 MLB season start?


The 2024 MLB season begins overseas with a matchup between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea. The Dodgers and Padres will play on Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21. This will be the first time an official MLB game has been played in South Korea.



When is MLB Opening Day 2024?


All 30 teams will play a traditional Opening Day on March 28, after the Dodgers and Padres play two games in South Korea on March 20-21.

In addition to South Korea, MLB is also making stops in Mexico City and London next year. The Astros face the Rockies in Mexico City from Saturday, April 27 to Sunday, April 28, while the 2024 London Series pits the Mets against the Phillies from Thursday, June 8 to Friday, June 9.

The Midsummer Classic goes from Seattle in 2023 to Arlington, Texas, in 2024 with Globe Life Field, home of the Rangers, hosting the event. The All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16.
