 The 107th PGA Championship tees off next week, bringing some of the biggest golf stars together on the green, including defending PGA champion Scottie Scheffler and recent 2024 Masters winner Rory McIlroy. 


The 2025 PGA Championship is set to begin Thursday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

When does the PGA Championship 2025 starts.?


  The US PGA Championship 2025 gets underway on Thursday 15th May and the final day is Sunday 18th May.

The first tee time on Thursday is set for 7 a.m.

The total winner's pool for the PGA Championship this year is $18.5 million -- which is the same amount as last year's tournament.

The winner of the PGA Championship gets $3.3 million.

Prize money is distributed all the way to 50th place with the smallest payout being $38,550.

What is the weather forecast during the 2025 PGA Championship?



According to the forecast by Accuweather, Quail Hollow Club, host venue for the championship, will have "times of clouds and sun with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm; storms can bring flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts."


Wednesday's high temperature is expected to be 78 degrees and there is an 88 percent chance of precipitation and a 53 percent change of thunderstorms.


Who won the 2024 PGA Championship last year?


 
Xander Schauffele is the defending PGA champion. He won his first major title at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, shooting 21-under 263, the lowest score in major championship history, to defeat Bryson DeChambeau by one shot.
