– Following a hugely successful inaugural tournament, FOX Sports and AEG today announced the official dates for the 2026 College Basketball Crown. The elite post-season college hoops tournament delivered compelling matchups, impressive viewership and a captivating championship run by Nebraska – becoming a must-see competition showcasing elite programs that narrowly miss NCAA Tournament selection.
The 16-team College Basketball Crown is in its inaugural season and will be played March 31-April 6 in Las Vegas, including teams from the Big Ten, Big East, Big 12, as well as at-large teams selected by a committee. The Big Ten, Big East and Big 12 get two automatic qualifiers.
The 2nd College Basketball Crown postseason tournament has not been finalized its field with Top-elite teams set to compete.

What is the College Basketball Crown?
The CBC tournament is a 8-team bracket held April 6 in Las Vegas and positioned as a competitor to the long-running National Invitation Tournament. The tournament, created by Fox Sports and AEG, includes the top two non-NCAA Tournament teams from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East; those leagues have TV deals with Fox. The rest of the field is selected at-large. The first two rounds are at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, while the semifinals and championship are at T-Mobile Arena.
