 – The 2026 Postseason WNIT launches with a flourish this week, with game times, dates and locations now secured for the 16 Round 1 games on the schedule.

The women's March Madness tournament is here, and while some teams are not in the running for the NCAA title, they still have a chance for their own postseason in the highly competitive Women's NIT.

Forty-eight teams will participate in the 28th edition of the Postseason WNIT, with 21 of them having won 20 or more games this season. The tournament begins with 10 games on Thursday, March 20, and concludes on Saturday, April 5, with the crowning of the champion.

The first round will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the teams that advance moving on to the second round, which starts on Sunday, March 22.

Teams that received a first-round bye will also compete, taking the court for the first time in this round.

This marks the 28th edition of the Postseason WNIT, powered by Triple Crown Sports and first held in 1998.
