NCAA March Madness is about to cool off, and it has nothing to do with the action on the court.
Along with the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament is set to commence this week. After Sunday’s selection show, we now know who each of the 16 teams will be facing.
The road to the 2025 Men’s Frozen Four is set. Sixteen teams remain in the hunt for the NCAA men’s hockey national championship as they get set to compete in the NCAA regionals across the country next weekend.
One week after the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments tipped off, the puck is about to drop in the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament. Sunday’s selection show has now given 16 teams from across the country their road map to the Frozen Four.
Boston College enters the competition as the No. 1 overall seed. Denver will look to repeat and win its third national title in four seasons, while Quinnipiac (2023) and UMass (2021) are among the other recent champions looking to reach the mountaintop once again.
Here is the complete NCAA men’s hockey tournament field with their overall seeds. Keep in mind that regionals have a number of different criteria to placing teams in certain locations and do not always follow a straight No. 1-No. 16 pairing.
