Patrick Mahomes Led the Kansas City Chiefs Back to the Super Bowl in Arizona.!


The Kansas City had hosted their fifth consecutive AFC Championship Game and for the second straight year as Chiefs got they avenged their in Conference title loss last year defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game & booked their place into Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.


Last year, it was the Bengals who came out on top and advanced to the Super Bowl, losing the big game to the Los Angeles Rams.

The top-seeded Chiefs defeated the No. 4 Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round to advance, and surprised many by dominating the Las Vegas Raiders 31-13 in the wild-card round.



After Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes took over with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Harrison Butker was able to kick the game-winning 45-yard field goal.

He scrambled 5 yards for a first down at the Cincinnati 42-yard line on a hobbled right ankle and was shoved out of bounds.

The ensuing 15-yard penalty proved decisive for kicker Harrison Butker, who hit a 45-yard game-winning field goal with three seconds remaining, giving the Chiefs a 23-20 victory.








  • Kansas City will now head to the Super Bowl for the third time in four seasons.

  • The game will feature the top seeds from both conferences for the 14th time in Super Bowl history.

  • Kansas City Coach Andy Reid will face his old team, the Eagles, and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce will play against his older brother Jason, the center on Philadelphia.



The first half of this game was largely controlled by Kansas City, making it a tale of two halves.

The Bengals got off to an uncharacteristically slow start, especially in the first quarter when they managed just 0 total offensive yards.

The Chiefs were successfully moving the ball throughout, and they took an early lead of 13-6 after Travis Kelce scored from 14 yards out late in the second quarter.

Nevertheless, Cincinnati did display some signs of life in the closing seconds of the first half, moving 90 yards in just over two minutes to kick a field goal just before the break to cut the deficit to a touchdown.

29 of 43 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns were completed by Mahomes. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was his go-to target that evening, hauling in six of his eight targets for a team-high 116 yards and a touchdown.


Burrow's performance was the opposite, as he completed 26 of his 41 passes for 270 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions.

He gained 30 more yards on the ground as well. With six catches for 83 yards and a touchdown, Tee Higgins led Cincinnati's skill position players in production.
