FIFA World Cup 2022: Kudus scores 2, Ghana beats South Korea 3-2, Player Ratings..

Ghana finally taste the first win of the Qatar tournament after losing the Opening fixtures, Mohammed Kudus struck twice in a thriller game as Black Stars edge South Korea 3-2 to register their first win in World Cup Group H.

The Black Stars fell to an agonising 3-2 defeat to Portugal on the opening day, while their Asian' South Korea impressively held Uruguay to a goalless draw.

The Black Stars, who also had goals from Mohammed Salisu, needed points to have a chance of moving on to Qatar's knockout round.

Cho Geu-sung scored both goals for South Korea, who were trailing 2-0, early in the second half, about three minutes apart, to tie the score at 2-2.

However, Kudus' low left-footed goal in the 68th minute gave the Black Stars the advantage once more as it flew past goalkeeper Kim-Seung-gyu. Cho's attempt was saved by goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi in stoppage time with a leaping save.

Son Heung-min, a forward for South Korea, was still scoreless in Qatar. In order to protect his broken left eye socket, the Tottenham forward covered it with a mask during a Champions League match against Marseille earlier this month.

Following the game, a heated argument between the coach of South Korea and the referee resulted in Paulo Bento receiving a red card.
