French Open 2022: Coco Gauff defeats Martina Trevisan in semis reaches first Roland Garros Grand Slam final and faces Iga Swiatek, Stats.






  • American teenager Coco Gauff, JUST 18, reached her first Grand Slam singles final with victory in the French Open last four, setting up a thrilling matchup with world number one Iga Swiatek.



In her first major semi-final, Gauff, 18, defeated unseeded Italian Martina Trevisan 6-3, 6-1 on the Paris clay.

Swiatek, 21, concluded a tranquil path to the Roland Garros final by defeating Daria Kasatkina, the 20th seed, 6-2, 6-1.

The Pole won her 34th match in a row to go to her second major final.

Swiatek, the 2020 Roland Garros winner, has only dropped one set on the Paris clay this fortnight.
