First time in 23 years wins, Cruz Azul are LigaMX champions 2021

Cruz Azul defeats Santos Laguna, ends 24 years longest wins drought LigaMX 2021 title.



Cruz Azul ends a 24 years, a longest League Title winning drought with a 2-1 aggregate win over Santos Laguna.



It wasn’t easy, but after a hard-fought series Cruz Azul finally ascends to the top of Liga MX, downing Santos Laguna 2-1 on aggregate to win the 2021 Guard1anes tournament in the front of 21000 spectators at the Aztecs stadium.


Juan Reynoso entered the history of Cruz Azul , as he became the first foreign coach & as a player with the Azul team to wins championship in Mexican soccer.


This is the 'Machine's' ninth title in their history
