 Pakistan's Emma Alam wins 29ht World Memory Championship 2020. 


Pakistan's young athlete Emma Alam has won the 29th World Memory Championship Final by defeating more than 300 world rivals from around the world.


Emma Alam competed in more than 10 subjects in the three-day competition, with athletes participated from China, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Algeria, the United States, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Libya, Qatar and Iraq.

Representing the Pakistan team in the world championship this year from Pakistan are Emma and Qissa Zahra, who also set several world records in the event

The World Memory Championship was founded in 1991 by world-renowned Tony Bozan and Raymond Kenny to raise awareness and enlightening the incredible power of human memory.


Since 1991, the championship has travelled to various high profile international venues, including The Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuala Lumpur, Oxford University, Imperial College London, The Royal Festival Hall, Olympia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hainan, and Wuhan.


The candidates with the best, fastest, and sharpest memory skills competed to demonstrate their intellectual power and to set new heights of what the human memory can truly achieve.


According to Forbes Magazine, Tony Bazan and Raymond Kenny popularized the idea of mental ability. Tony was the author and co-author of more than 80 books, while Raymond is the Grand Master of Chess and Queen Elizabeth's special officer.


Emma Alam is very surprised with the victory of this global event. She says,


 "My coaches and team, including me, worked hard to win this year's event. I am amazed at how powerful the human brain is."


He added,

  We intend to compete again next year with better performance. I congratulate all the amazing competitors who competed from all over the world.


In addition, another member of the national team, Abeerah Athar, has secured 7th position in the 2020 world memory championship rankings.

Other members of the team including the Emma Alam had been trained under the Institute of Human Memory Development International (IHMD).

The World Memory Championship is a mental sports tournament, where the skills of intellectual abilities are measured in comparison to physical sports.
