there will no doubt be more VAR drama in today’s two A-League games.

 Greece qualifies for 2021 Rugby League World Cup for the first time.




  Despite not playing their matches in their home country Greece has qualified for the next Rugby League World Cup 2021.
 Greece will make their debut at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England after thrashing Serbia 82-6 in Belgrade.

 The 16th and last spot for the World Cup will be decided in Jacksonville, Florida, on 16 November when the United States host the Cook Islands.

The draw will be made on 27 November, exactly two years out from the start of the tournament.



 Billy Joe Saunders eyes Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez after Marcelo Esteban Coceres win.



 Billy Joe Saunders says he wants to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez but admitted there was "something missing" as he laboured to a knockout win over Marcelo Esteban Coceres in Los Angeles.

Saunders, 30, floored Argentina's Coceres three times in the 11th round, prompting a stoppage, to defend his WBO world super-middleweight title.
The Briton, on his US debut, conceded "it wasn't a world class performance".

 KSI dominated in first four rounds as he continually threw booming rights which rocked the taller, rangier Paul onto the back foot.
 Paul snuck through KSI's defences with an uppercut and then, with his opponent on his way to the canvas, landed another blow which took the wind from the Brit's sails.
 And while two points were deducted from Paul's card, a knockdown was registered in the American's favour on account of the first blow.
 KSI - whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji - was judged the winner 57-54, 56-55, 55-56 on the judges' scorecards.

 T20 cricket: England defeat New Zealand again in a Super Over.



 England beat New Zealand in another super over to win a thrilling final Twenty20 and take the series 3-2.
 New Zealand plundered 146-5 from 11 overs, and it took Chris Jordan hitting 12 off the final three deliveries to take the game to a super over.
Jonny Bairstow, who earlier struck 47 off 18 balls, and captain Eoin Morgan scored 17 off England's six deliveries before Jordan limited New Zealand to 8.
It was a remarkable game that contained a staggering 29 sixes in 24 overs.



WBBL|05: Adelaide Strikers defeat Melbourne Stars.


  An unbeaten 85* off 56 from the Kiwi opener put the Strikers in the box seat as they fired 4-164 (20) with Suzie Bates also chiming in with a handy 36 off 30. After Elyse Villani fell cheaply, South African duo Lizelle Lee and Mignon du Preez to run it down. They put on an impressive 113-run stand before Bates and Amanda Wellington struck with the ball. 17 runs the margin in the end after a big batting collapse, and the Stars stay bottom.




 Mladenovic beats Barty in three epic sets in Fed Cup Final!


 Incredible comeback from Mladenovic to peg back Barty and finish all over the top of the world No 1. 
The Frenchwoman was unstoppable in the tie-breaker, barely giving Barty a sniff.   Up next is Tomljanovic against Garcia. If Tomljanovic can’t win that one for Australia, the Fed Cup will belong to France.
 Barty finds the net to go down in three sets. Now France takes a 2-1 lead.



 Australian boxer Dwight Ritchie dies while sparring with Michael Zerafa


The Australian boxing fraternity is mourning the loss of local fighter Dwight Ritchie, who died in a freak training accident in Melbourne.

The 27-year-old Victorian collapsed on Saturday after a sparring session with Michael Zerafa, who is preparing for his rematch with Jeff Horn after winning the Battle of Bendigo.





WBBL|05: Perth Scorchers 151-5 def. Sydney Thunder 144-6 by 7 runs



After surviving a last-ball thriller against the second-placed Adelaide Strikers on Saturday, the Scorchers held their nerve to down the top-placed Thunder on Sunday at Karen Rolton Oval.
All-rounder Heather Graham was the star with bat and ball.

After thumping two sixes in her undefeated 33 off 20 balls to lift the Scorchers to 5-151, player-of-the-match Graham snared 3-22 off four overs, her batting and bowling in the clutch crucial in each innings.
