AFC U16 Championship 2020: all 16 qualified teams for the tournament.
The 2020 AFC U16 Championship Qualifiers has come to an end and 16 teams from Asia have booked their berths in the tournament to be held next year.
The 2020 AFC U16 Championship will be held in Bahrain from September 16 to October 3, 2020. The teams that reach the semifinals of the continental championship will qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup to be held in 2021.
Nine out 15 qualified teams have lifted the AFC U16 Championship trophy at least once before while the China PR, DPR Korea, Korea Republic, Oman, and Saudi Arabia have won the title twice.
Defending champions Japan, who have won the title three times, led the group winners as they finished top of Group J.
A very long awainting period comes to an end of Yemen, return to the Finals, since their last appearance in 2002. Another team who will return to the Finals after a long lapse are Indonesia, whose last appearance was in 1990.
