— The Saskatchewan Roughriders are champions once again.

Saskatchewan scored three rushing touchdowns and came down with a trio of interceptions to take down the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 in the 112th Grey Cup in Winnipeg.

After trailing 7-1 at the end of the first quarter, the Riders scored 24 unanswered points to take a commanding lead in the second half. Montreal battled back to make it a one-possession game in the fourth quarter, but Saskatchewan was able to halt the Alouettes comeback attempt with a fumble forced near the goal line.

CFL Game Today: Montreal advanced by beating Hamilton 19–16 in the Eastern Final, while Saskatchewan defeated BC 24–21 in the Western Final. Both teams are making their 20th Grey Cup appearance, tied for fifth-most in CFl Playoffs history. Montreal last won in 2023 and holds an 8–11 Grey Cup record; Saskatchewan last won in 2013 and is 4–15 all-time.

The teams have met twice previously in the Grey Cup (2009, 2010), with Montreal winning both. In the 2025 regular season, they split their two meetings, each winning on the road.

Trevor Harris gets his Grey Cup ring as a starter and is named the MVP of the game. He had 302 yards and had an 85.2% completion percentage.

Samuel Emilus is named the Most Valuable Canadian in the Grey Cup. He led all receivers with 10 catches on 10 targets for 108 yards (57 YAC).


Undefeated run for Alexander is over

Davis Alexander suffered his first loss as a starter in the CFL, but the Alouettes QB fought until the end, with his hamstring clearly a problem on that last drive.

Tommy Nield gets the ball down to the goal line as the Roughriders put on a clinic to start the second half and add to their lead. Saskatchewan now has 21 unanswered points.
