At Manila, Karl-Anthony Towns had 26 points and 10 rebounds and the Dominican Republic prevailed on a night where fans in the Philippines set a World Cup attendance record.

Towns topscored for his team with 26 points, including two free throws and a hook shot during the stretch when Clarkson fouled out to give Dominican Republic an 81-76 lead, deflating the hopes of home fans.
