Bucs Tom Brady becomes most sacked QB in NFL history in Loss

Tom Brady surpassed Ben Roethlisberger for most sacked quarterback, Bucs star is now the most sacked quarterback in NFL history.




  •  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has now been sacked 556 times in his career, which makes him the most-sacked QB in league history. Longtime Pittsburgh Steeler Ben Roethlisberger held the previous record.



Tom Brady has broken numerous NFL records in the course of his 23-year long career, and on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, he added another one to the list.

Late in the fourth quarter of the Bucs' defeat by the Ravens, Brady was tackled once more, marking sack number 556.

That made him the most sacked player in NFL history, surpassing Ben Roethlisberger.

Big Ben was sacked 554 times during the course of his 18-year career. The previous record holder, Brett Favre, who was sacked 525 times in the course of his 20-year career, was surpassed by Ben Roethlisberger last year.



As for the NFL record, Brady has been sacked 555 times in 325 career games. Roethlisberger went down 554 times in 249 games.

Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Ryan and Stafford are the only active NFL quarterback who have been sacked at least 380 times.
