  • The LIV Golf Invitational Series has revealed plans for a 14 events set to be played in seven countries with $405 million in prize purses, featuring 48 contracted players on 12 “established team franchises” and a system of promotion and relegation through its series of Asian Tour events.



LIV Golf Investments has invested $300 million into the Asian Tour for "International Series" events, including the 48-man field, no-cut competitions with a total prize pool of $25 million US. Players might earn their way into the LIV Golf League through their performance in these Asian Tour events, while those that finish toward the bottom of LIV Golf events would be replaced. Details on promotion and relegation, however, were not made public.



The season begins with a Feb. 24-26 event in Mexico's Riviera Maya and ends with the team championship in the first week of November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

According to LIV Golf, Other events 14 tournaments listed on the 2023 LIV Golf schedule will take place in the United States, Australia, Singapore, Spain and the United Kingdom. The 2022 season had events held in London, Portland, Bedminster, Boston, Chicago, Bangkok and Jeddah. .
