French Open prize money, winners will get 2 million

French Open 2019: prize money increases to £37.1m, winners take home £2M.





The French Open has increased its prize money for 2019 season by more than 8% for this year's tournament. A total of  €42.7 million (£37.1m) will be paid out at the year's second grand slam compared to 39.2m euros in 2018.
There is huge increment at the early stage of Roland Garros in First to third round qualifying rounds are the 11 to 16 % in the overall prize fund.


 Rafael Nadal took home £1.93m by beating Dominic Thiem in the 2018 French Open.



The 2019 French Open is the 123rd edition of Tennis Championship which will be scheduled Sunday, 26 May and ends on Sunday, 9 June 2019

 Players who lose in the first round of qualifying will collect €7,000 euros (£6,086), an increase of more than 16% on last year, while losers in the first-round proper will take home €46,000 euros (£40,000) - 15 %  more than last 2017 spring's event.

 The US Open offers the biggest prize fund, paying out £40.6m last year, while January's Australian Open had total prize money of approximately £34m, the same as the 2018 Wimbledon.




The financial reward for the singles champions will be €2.3m euros (£2m) compared to €2.2m last year.
