Cerundolo Makes History at HSBC Championships Queen’s


Francisco Cerundolo defeated Tommy Paul in a thrilling three-set final to become the first Argentine player to win the Queen’s Club Championships.The seventh-seeded Argentine came from a set and a break down to win 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-3 in a three-hour battle. This victory marks Cerundolo’s biggest title to date and his second career grass-court title (after Eastbourne 2023).

In Halle, Frances Tiafoe produced a dominant performance to defeat Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 and claim the Terra Wortmann Open title.Tiafoe’s run was especially impressive as he defeated three top-10 players in the same tournament for the first time in his career, including French Open finalist Flavio Cobolli and second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime.
