Socceroos Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup: Australia Full Team Roster List, Schedule.
The final 26-player CommBank Socceroos squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ has been confirmed, with as many as 17 players in line to make their World Cup debuts.
Head coach Tony Popovic has selected a balanced squad that combines emerging talent with experienced internationals as Australia prepares for its latest World Cup campaign. Among the notable inclusions are Cristian Volpato and Tete Yengi, both of whom are yet to earn a senior international cap and could make their Socceroos debuts on football’s biggest stage.

Seventeen members of the squad have been selected for a FIFA World Cup for the first time, highlighting the beginning of a new generation for Australian football. The squad also features five A-League-based players: Patrick Beach, Aziz Behich, Mathew Leckie, Paul Okon-Engstler, and Nishan Velupillay.
Several senior players are also set to reach significant milestones. Goalkeeper Mat Ryan and forward Mathew Leckie are poised to become just the third and fourth Australians to be selected for four FIFA World Cups, matching the national record currently shared by Tim Cahill and Mark Milligan.
