When is Irish Grand National 2026? date, start time, horses, runners, betting odds, where to watch, prize money
Fairyhouse’s marathon contest is the richest race on the calendar in Ireland thanks to a pretty prize pot worth €500,000. It’s also one of the most challenging as the runners need to negotiate 24 fences over a stamina-sapping 3m5f trip.
Haiti Couleurs successfully made the trip across the Irish Sea to claim the crown in comfortable fashion last year. Rebecca Curtis’ stable star will not defend the title, however, as Aintree’s equivalent is on the agenda this term.

Who Won The Irish Grand National Last Year?
Last year’s Irish Grand National went the way of HAITI COULEURS, he was ridden by Sean Bowen and trained by Rebecca Curtis.
The Welsh trainer’s charge was the second favourite with an SP of 13/2 last year and it was a great ride from Bowen, who had a season to remember.
Haiti Couleurs went on to win the Welsh Grand National and will look to complete the hat-trick when he goes for the Aintree Grand National in April.
