The final day of the Mountain East Conference women’s basketball season has concluded, settling the seeds and pairings for next week’s MEC Basketball Tournament, presented by The Health Plan, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

  

The top 10 teams in the MEC women’s basketball standings qualify for the five-day tournament, and the top six seeds receive a bye. Competition begins Wednesday, March 4, at noon when No. 7 seed Frostburg State plays No. 10 seed Point Park.

 

Glenville State, which is 22-5 overall and finished 16-4 in MEC play, is the league’s regular season conference champion. The Lady Pioneers enter postseason play winning eight of their last 10 games.

MEC Quarterfinal Games (Thursday, March 5)
