The innings was powered by an extraordinary century from opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who smashed a blistering 175 off just 80 balls (15 sixes, 15 fours), setting multiple tournament records including the most sixes in a single edition (30) and the highest individual score in a U-19 World Cup final.

Captain Ayush Mhatre anchored the middle order with a composed knock, while cameos from the lower order ensured India maintained momentum throughout. The total proved far beyond England's reach despite a valiant chase.

England opener Caleb Falconer led a spirited fightback with a superb century (115 off 67 balls), but once he fell, the middle order crumbled against India's disciplined bowling attack.

Leg-spinner Saumy Kumar Pandey and pace duo Mohammed Enaan and Arshin Kulkarni shared the spoils as England were bowled out for 311 in 40.2 overs.
