2026 MLB Spring Training: Pitchers and Catchers Report Dates for All 30 Teams
The long winter is finally thawing, baseball fans! With the new year underway and just weeks until the crack of the bat returns, Major League Baseball has officially released the first workout dates for all 30 teams ahead of the 2026 Spring Training season. These dates mark the official start of preparations, with pitchers and catchers hitting the fields first, followed shortly by the full squads.Important note: This is a World Baseball Classic (WBC) year, with the tournament running March 5–17, 2026.
Pitchers and catchers participating in the WBC must report to their MLB camps no later than Wednesday, February 11, while position players are due no later than Thursday, February 12. Many stars (including potential participants like Shohei Ohtani) could arrive earlier than their team's standard date to ensure readiness.
The dates below represent the first official workouts (subject to change), as announced by MLB on January 14, 2026. Teams in the Cactus League (Arizona) and Grapefruit League (Florida) offer fans a chance to watch live action in warm weather, often for free or low cost.
Here are the official first workout dates for every team (announced January 14, 2026). Pitchers & catchers report first, followed by the full squad. Early arrivals may apply for WBC participants.Athletics (ATH)
