Japan Figure Skating Championships 2025: Key Olympic Qualifier Set for Tokyo



The 2025 Japan Figure Skating Championships are scheduled to take place this weekend in Tokyo, from December 19 to 21, at the historic Yoyogi National Stadium.

This national championship is the primary selection event for Japan's figure skating team for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. The final squad for the Games will be officially announced on Sunday, the final day of the competition.

The event will determine which of Japan's top skaters—including reigning world champions and past Olympic medalists—will earn the chance to compete on the sport's biggest stage at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
