Supercars Championship 2025: Four Drivers Field Set for 2025 Adelaide Grand Final lineup
The four-driver Finals field for the bp Adelaide Grand Final is set after a dramatic finish at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500. Broc Feeney, Chaz Mostert, Will Brown, and Kai Allen will battle for the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship at the Adelaide Parklands Circuit.
Allen benefitted from the misfortune of Bathurst-winning teammate Matt Payne, sneaking into the final transfer spot with a strong sixth-place finish, while Feeney regained the points lead thanks to a dominant victory.
Payne had been comfortably positioned to secure his Adelaide spot and seemed set to strengthen his claim when he challenged Cam Waters at Turn 1 with 31 laps remaining. However, Waters fought back at Turn 4, colliding with Payne’s #19 Penrite Mustang. The clash damaged Payne’s steering and left Waters with a punctured tire and broken shock, ending both drivers’ Finals hopes. They returned to the pits for repairs.
The day added to Tickford’s woes: Waters had earlier received a five-second penalty for forcing Will Brown off the track, while teammate Thomas Randle finished 13th, leaving their drivers sixth and seventh in the standings.
Meanwhile, Will Brown impressed, recovering from 17th to finish third and claim his second podium in as many races. Chaz Mostert also faced challenges, initially affected by a wheel nut issue for teammate Ryan Wood, leaving him on dry tyres on a wet track. Mostert switched to slicks first, briefly returned to podium contention, and ultimately finished fourth to secure second seeding for Adelaide.
After the points reset, Feeney leads on 5050, Mostert sits on 5030, Brown has 5015, and Allen is on 5000.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship concludes at the bp Adelaide Grand Final from November 27–30, with tickets now on sale.
