Samari Collier was unstoppable for Coastal Carolina on Saturday night, rushing for 123 yards on 10 carries and throwing for 120 yards while accounting for four touchdowns in the Chanticleers’ 40-27 win over Georgia State. Collier opened the game with an electrifying 85-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage and later threw two TD passes to Karmello English and one to Robby Washington, helping Coastal Carolina (6-3, 5-1 Sun Belt) build a commanding lead. English finished with four catches for 63 yards, playing a key role in the passing attack.

Kian Afrookhteh added three second-quarter field goals, giving the Chanticleers a 23-14 halftime advantage. Coastal Carolina extended its lead in the fourth quarter with Collier’s touchdown throws, making it 40-14 before Georgia State’s late scores closed the gap.

For the Panthers (1-8, 0-5), TJ Finley and Cameran Brown combined for 293 passing yards and a touchdown each, while Jordan Simmons led the ground game with 99 yards and a touchdown. Ted Hurst contributed 165 yards receiving with a score, but a late interception by Ja’Marion Wayne ended Georgia State’s final drive and secured Coastal Carolina’s fourth consecutive victory.
