GT World Challenge Australia Returns to Adelaide for 2026 Grand Final
The GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS is set for a thrilling return to the Adelaide Parklands Circuit in 2026 — marking the first time since 2023 that the GT3-based series will race around the iconic street track.
SRO Motorsports Australia CEO Ben McMellan said the team is thrilled to have the calendar locked in, especially with such a prestigious finale.
“We’re pleased to officially confirm our 2026 calendar with an event as special as the Adelaide Grand Final,” McMellan said.
“Coming back to the Adelaide street circuit to wrap up the season is incredibly exciting for everyone involved. The venue has a rich motorsport legacy, and the Grand Final itself is one of the biggest events in the country.
“It’s the perfect place to sign off our season, and we can’t wait to see a packed grid of Australia’s best GT cars battle it out. A big thanks to the South Australian Motorsport Board for making it happen.”
The 2026 season kicks off at Phillip Island on March 27–29, before heading to The Bend Motorsport Park in May. From there, the championship heads north for winter — stopping at Queensland Raceway in June and making its first-ever appearance at Hidden Valley Raceway in July.
Sydney Motorsport Park will host the penultimate round in September, before the action-packed finale at Adelaide Parklands Circuit on December 3–6.
GT World Challenge Australia will again headline the Shannons SpeedSeries in 2026, joined by Monochrome GT4 Australia, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia, and the all-new Mustang Cup Australia — ensuring fans across Australia and New Zealand will have plenty to cheer about.
