Babar Azam Guides Pakistan to T20 Series Win Over South Africa.
Babar Azam struck a brilliant 68 off 47 balls as Pakistan defeated South Africa by four wickets in Lahore to claim the T20 series 2–1.
Chasing 140, Pakistan reached the target with an over to spare after Babar and captain Salman Agha (33 off 26) added a crucial 76-run stand for the third wicket. Earlier, Shaheen Shah Afridi rocked South Africa’s top order, taking 3–26 as the visitors managed just 139 for nine.
Reeza Hendricks (34) and Corbin Bosch (30*) offered resistance, but regular wickets stalled momentum. Babar, returning to form after two quiet outings, said he focused on “absorbing pressure and playing according to the situation.”
The sides now turn to a three-match ODI series starting Tuesday in Faisalabad.
