FIFA Unveils TRIONDA - The Official Match Ball for 2026 World Cup

Adidas Unveils “TRIONDA” — The Official Match Ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

October 3, 2025 — Zurich, Switzerland:
FIFA and Adidas have officially unveiled “TRIONDA,” the match ball that will be used at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The ball blends advanced sports technology with design elements celebrating the unity of the three nations.

A Symbol of Three Nations

The name TRIONDA is derived from two Spanish words — “Tri” meaning “three” and “Onda” meaning “wave.” The name symbolizes the three host countries and the wave-like patterns that run across the ball’s surface, representing movement, energy, and connection.

The World Cup 2026 official match ball’s color palette features red, green, and blue, with each color representing one of the hosts:

  • Red for Canada, accented by the iconic maple leaf

  • Green for Mexico, featuring an eagle emblem

  • Blue for the United States, highlighted with stars

Together, these elements form a unified triangular design that reflects the collaboration of the three nations set to host the world’s biggest sporting event.
