This year, 2026 event will take place over October 8-11, with current forecasts looking mixed. The threat of showers remain for Thursday and Sunday,

Who will take the crown as the champion of The Great Race? We return for the 10th round on the Supercars calendar, and the second round of the Ryco Enduro Cup: the Repco Bathurst 1000.

A total of 49 drivers have formally booked their place in the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000.

 At this stage, 26 cars are set to compete – the 24 regulars, plus wildcards from Team 18 and Garry Rogers Motorsport.  

Triple Eight has re-signed Scott Pye.  Triple Eight recruited Nick Percat to take over from Jamie Whincup.  Jack Perkins will line up alongside Jackson Walls in the team’s third entry (Triple Eight/SCT).  

Walkinshaw TWG Racing has Fabian Coulthard returning.  Walkinshaw TWG Racing signed Jaxon Evans. Jayden Ojeda upgraded to a full-time ride at PremiAir Racing (replacing his previous co-driver role).

Bathurst 1000 starting grid 2026 Entry List: Possible Drivers Starting Lineup at Mount Panorama

The starting grid will comprise 27 cars, each with two alternating drivers for a total of 54 wheelmen. Chevrolets will outnumber Fords at 16 to 11.

Of the 47 drivers, there are 12 previous Bathurst winners, with three wild card entrants. The winning duo of 2024, Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood return for 2025 with a move from the Erebus Racing Camaro to the Dick Johnson Racing Mustang.

When is the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000?

This year 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 will be held on Sunday, 11th October.

What time is the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 Start?

The green flag is set to fall at 11:45am (AEDT) for New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Tasmania.

Queensland viewers will need to tune in at 10:45am local time.

At a seven-hour race length, the winner should pass the checkered flag at about 6:45pm AEDT.
