A strong pro-PSG crowd filled the audience as president Nasser Al-Khelaifi took the stage to accept the award. He praised DJ Snake as “the best DJ” and mentioned he was accepting the prize on behalf of the players, who had just narrowly lost 1-0 to Marseille—though he didn’t reference the score. PSG’s delegation was clearly tuned in to the Marseille match, with players seen watching the game on their phones.
Arsenal wins the women’s club of the year award!
Arsenal will take home the Women's Club of the Year award after winning the UEFA Women's Champions League, which is in accordance with the other awards of the night -- four of their players are in the top 10 for the Ballon d'Or. Manager Renee Slegers is at the microphone speaking about a club that has been a pioneer in the women's game over nearly 40 years and says the supporters have been with them "every step of the way."
