Chris Gotterup is the defending champion. It, alongside the opposite-field ISCO Championship, are the last events before the final major of the year at the British Open. The top three non-exempt finishers at the Scottish will earn spots in the Open at Royal Birkdale.

But first, it's the Scottish Open, whose field actually includes some LIV golfers. How is that possible?

Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton, members of the DP World Tour, are allowed to play because the Scottish is a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and the DPWT, with each tour's members making up roughly half of the field.
