Belmont Stakes 2025: Betting odds, favorites, post positions, full field

Belmont Stakes 2025 betting odds, favorites, post positions and full field lineup for race at Saratoga.

Preakness winner Journalism was made the 8-5 morning-line favorite for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 7, at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Journalism drew the No. 7 post Monday in a field of eight for the $2 million, Grade 1 Belmont, the final leg of the Triple Crown.

Post time for the Belmont is set for 7:04 p.m. The race will be televised by Fox.

The Belmont will be a rematch between Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty and Journalism. After beating Journalism by 1 ½ lengths in the Kentucky Derby, Sovereignty skipped the Preakness. Sovereignty is the 2-1 second choice in the Belmont morning line.

The Belmont is being contested at Saratoga for the second straight year because of renovations at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. Because of the change, the race is being run at 1 ¼ miles instead of the traditional 1 ½ miles at Belmont Park. The race is scheduled to return to the new Belmont Park in 2026.
