The International Ice Hockey Federation unveiled the schedule Tuesday for the men’s and women’s tournaments at the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
The 25th edition of the Olympic Winter Games will also see the return of NHL players for the first time since Sochi 2014, meaning audiences will be able to watch the world's best hockey players take to the ice in both the men's and women's competition.
Women’s hockey starts on Feb. 5 with the U.S. against Czechia and Canada versus Finland among the opening games. The U.S. and Canada renew their rivalry in the preliminary round on Feb. 10, and the gold-medal game is set for Feb. 19.

Dates: The men’s tournament runs 11-22 February while the women play 5-19 February.

As per usual, Canada versus the United States is the headliner of group play Feb. 10. Canada took back
the gold medal in 2022 after the Americans triumphed in 2018. The two nations have met in the gold-
medal game in all but one iteration of the tournament.
Finland-Czechia is a budding rivalry in the women's game and has been the World Championship bronze-medal contest for two straight years.
