High-major programs dominant the Sweet 16 of the men's NCAA Tournament bracket, with the SEC and Big Ten claiming occupying top spots.

The top game of the round is Duke against St. John's in Washington D.C. on March 27. It'll be another Rick Pitino vs. Duke matchup in the second weekend of the tournament.

On Sunday, March 22, No. 2 Purdue was the first team to clinch its Sweet 16 berth with a 79-69 win over No. 7 seed Miami in the West Region. The final game of the night will see either of No. 4 Alabama or No. 5 Texas Tech out of the Midwest Region.

Dylan Darling's layup as time expired sent the St. John's Red Storm to its first Sweet 16 since 1999.
