Who's in elite eight? Updated men's March Madness bracket for elite 8, schedule for NCAA Tournament
fifty-two games have been played in the men's NCAA Tournament and the field has dwindled down after the end of the second weekend.
The first two tickets to the Final Four will be punched Saturday.
The first team to secure its spot in the Elite Eight was No. 9 Iowa, which came from behind to beat No. 4 seed Nebraska out of the South Region, 77-71. The second team to clinch its spot came from the West Region as No. 2 Purdue defeated No. 11 Texas, 79-77.

No. 9 seed Iowa became the first team to advance past the Sweet 16 and move onto the Elite Eight with a 77-71 win over No. 4 seed Nebraska. Here's a look at who has moved on to the Elite Eight:

Purdue Boilermakers
With a last-second tip-in, Purdue advanced to the Elite Eight with a 79-77 win over No. 11 Texas on March 26.
Purdue (30-8) is the No. 2 seed in the West Region.
Iowa Hawkeyes
In a battle of two Big Ten teams, No. 9 Iowa prevailed over No. 4 Nebraska 77-71 to reach the Elite Eight.
Illinois Fighting Illini
Illinois punched its ticket to the Elite Eight with a 65-55 victory over the No. 2 Houston Cougars in the Sweet 16.
The Fighting Illini, the No. 3 seed in the South, limited the Cougars to 34% shooting from the field.
Arizona Wildcats
The Wildcats are in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2015 after getting a 109-88 win over No. 4 Arkansas.
Arizona, the No. 1 seed in the West, is now 35-2 on the season. it shot 64% from the field in the win.
Duke Blue Devils
The No. 1 seed in the East Region, the Blue Devils rallied in the second half to beat No. 5 seed St. John's to move to 35-2 on the season.
Isaiah Evans had 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting in Duke's 80-75 win.
Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, pulled away from No. 4 Alabama in the second half in a 90-77 win, to move to 34-3 on the season.
Michigan trailed at the half against the Crimson Tide, before dominating in the second half. Yaxel Lendeborg had 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting for Michigan, with 11 rebounds.
UConn Huskies
The Huskies, the East Region's No. 2 seed, held off No. 3 seed Michigan State in the Sweet 16, 67-63.
UConn shot 9-for-21 from 3-point range and made some clutch baskets down the stretch to hang on for the win.
Tennessee Volunteers
The No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region, Tennessee upset No. 2 seed Iowa State in the Sweet 16, 76-62.
The Volunteers had a dominate night on the boards, outrebounding the Cyclones, 43-22, to be the final team to advance to the Elite Eight.
When is men's Elite Eight?
The men's Elite Eight will take place on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. Each day will see two games apiece, setting the Final Four field.
