The United States will host an expanded Club World Cup featuring 32 men's teams in 2025, Fifa has announced.

Twelve European clubs will feature, including the past three Champions League winners Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be held in 12 stadiums across the United States, final set for MetLife Stadium in, New Jersey, the soccer governing body announced in New York on Saturday.

The country will see 32 of the best club soccer teams in the world — Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and Egyptian side Al Ahly will play the opening match on June 14, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami — play in a tournament to be crowned the best.

Consider it a precursor to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Real Madrid will also play CF Pachuca (Mexico) in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on June 22, and FC Salzburg (Austria) in Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on June 26.

The Seattle Sounders, the only other MLS team in the field, will host all three of its Group B games at Lumen Field in Seattle. It begins play against Botafogo (Brazil) on June 15, will face Atletico Madrid (Spain) on June 19, then Paris Saint-Germain (France) on June 23.

The USA will also co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico.

When & where is the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final.?

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final will be played on Home of  New York Giants and New York Jets at a MetLife Stadium.

The 82,500-seat stadium is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where will the Final held on 13th July, 2025.

Just over a year before the The MetLife Stadium Also stages the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.

Who won the last FIFA Club World Cup 2023.?

UEFA Champions League winners Manchester City have won the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time, beating Brazilian side Fluminense 4-0 in Friday's final.

Julián Álvarez struck inside the opening 60 seconds in Saudi Arabia, and City were 2-0 up when Mota Filho put through his own net on 27 minutes. Phil Foden added another before Álvarez sealed it for Pep Guardiola's men.

Last: Chelsea beat Palmeiras in the last Club World Cup final 2021.

What is the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup prize money?

The total prize money is around €2.5bn and an initial €2bn will be distributed among the 32 teams that book their plane tickets to the USA. Qualification therefore brings €50m as a minimum, while there will be other results-based bonuses and the winner will receive around €100m.

This is money which would add to the prize funds obtained from a potential run in the Champions League. For example, reaching the last 16 is worth €9.6m to which must be added the proceeds from the results of the current group, the historical ranking and of course ticket sales.
