All-Time Euro Champions, Past winners List since 1960

UEFA European Championship: All-Time Euro champions, Past winners List by year since 1960.

There have been 17 European Championship tournaments since its inception in 1960.

European Championship, formally UEFA European Championship, also called Euro, in football (soccer), a quadrennial tournament held between the member countries of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

The European Championship is second in prestige to the World Cup among international football tournaments.

The first final of the European Championship (then known as the European Nations’ Cup) took place in 1960 between USSR  2-1  Yugoslavia.

The Euros are planned to operate in an alternate four-year cycle to the World Cup, so fans see the Euros and the World Cup alternate every two years.

Ten different countries have won the UEFA Euros. The most successful teams in the quadrennial competition have been Spain and Germany, both have won the tournament three times each.

Spain are also the only team to have won the championship on two consecutive editions in Euro 2008-2012-.

The 2024 European Championship ended with Spain beating England 2-1 in the summit clash at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, As the Three Lions again missed the chance to lift the European Championship trophy for the second-straight year in Euro2024...
